All I need to do is to show you some pictures of this stunning wedding we got to coordinate and design. So grateful to work with our good friends Susi’s Flowers as well as E&B Photography! Thanks to Kate for letting us Jessie play around with the design and giving me hours of chopping up wood, stripping tree trunks and learning how to dip dye large stumps!! And I think we can all agree that there’s no better place for a wedding than inside a fully functioning greenhouse!
Okay, so it’s taken maybe two years to get posting on some pictures from this beautiful wedding at Carmel Valley Ranch. Corban is a cheesemaker and golfer—so of course he played golf with his family and friends that weekend….and of course we had a cheese wheel that he made instead of a cake!!
Love Love Loved getting to dream up the design of this beautiful and classy wedding with Jaime and her mom. It was such a blast to see it all come together!

What are the odds that you can have a beautiful outdoor wedding in January? Well, in 2015 the odds were pretty darn good. We are SO happy that the weather was perfect because Rosemary and Jake’s wedding was stunning! Rosemary is a dear friend and it was so fun to be a part of making her California winter wedding come to life.

There is a substantial amount of joy that comes from working hard. I personally love taking on clients that are up for the challenge of a complicated venue (if they are pleasant to work with and able to endure the extra work/stress/expenses of a non-traditional wedding venue).
I don’t think these pictures do justice to the amount of work it took to pull this one off–shuttles in traffic, no cell service, woodchips in everything, legs covered in dirt, saving drunk groomsmen from falling in the pond, a lighting company you never want to work with again, generators, 2 days of setup, peonies in the sun and me crouching behind a tree with my legs cramping up to press play on a battery operated speaker during the ceremony. But the fact that you can’t tell in the pictures means that we did our job!!
There is so much history with this venue (an old family estate of the bride’s family). I could do a whole post about just the cool stories I learned and pictures of this little cabin (prohibition bar, San Francisco socialite turned nun, american flags everywhere and the best rugs).
What is even better than how beautiful everything turned out was getting to work alongside Alli and Tristan over the last year in planning–and getting to see them have the time of their lives with their family and friends. By the end of the night we were already getting a little sad that our planning meetings were over.
(←Putting on a boutonniere in my Mary Poppins apron and boots. Don’t worry, I changed. But when you’re coordinating and doing flowers, you gotta do what you gotta do to get it done!!)

One thing we love is a good photographer! Loved working with Ginny Silver at Retrospect Images this past weekend. Not only did she manage the day and wedding party so well–but she sent me these beautiful images on Sunday!! So instead of blogging about this wedding next year, here you go!
If you’re going to get married in the redwoods and you need to have bugspray–there’s no reason not to make it beautiful!
We loved working with Jenn and Alex over this past year to design and plan this stunning wedding at Stones and Flowers in the Santa Cruz mountains. From start to finish, this wedding vision was spot on and we loved every second.
We went with a rustic/chic/literary theme because Jenn loves books! Table names were places that the couple loved with little descriptions in a dictionary format. Jeff Neckers on the Wylie team totally nailed the print pieces!
So incredibly grateful for the wonderful group of vendors that worked seamlessly together:

As you can tell, I’m playing a serious game of catch up with blogging about past weddings. In honor of Jeff and Janelle’s 1.5 year anniversary, I’ll post pictures from their amazing, hot, beautiful, fun, hot wedding in Morgan Hill at Janelle’s parent’s house.
I’ve known Jeff and Janelle for a while now as friends and it was so fun to jump in and help do day of coordination and flowers! She did an amazing job with all the planning and we got to come in at the end and make it all happen!
As a coordinator, one of my favorite parts of the day is right after the ceremony once the photos are finished.I let the bride and groom breath a few deep breaths, hand them the drink of their choice and get them ready to enter the party they’ve worked so hard to plan! Jeff and Janelle chose to grab their beers and sneak out around a corner.
How darling are these girls? They really nailed that “look casual” pose. Oh, the boys are pretty cute too
Just needed to throw that last one in just because of Jeff’s face.

Steve and Jessica got married at Carmel Valley ranch. I loved my phone calls with Jessica to plan all the decor and flowers. We seriously had so much fun coming up with a romantic, soft, beautiful theme with a hint of sparkle!! Check out some of our favorite pics from Sarah Kathleen.
My new favorite thing to do is to give flower girls a bunch of single stem flowers and let them hand the flowers out to people sitting in the aisles. It gives them a task to do and is also super interactive and cute. This little flower girl totally nailed it!
The dinner tables had a mix of high manzanita branches with hanging teardrop candle holders and white hydrangeas at the base. The other half of the tables had low arrangements filled with hydrangeas, peonies, dusty miller, lavender, lysianthus and roses. We rented specialty overlay linens that had a hint of sparkle in them to glam it up a bit.
Jessica’s email to us after her event was just icing on the cake:
“Just wanted to send you an email letting you know how amazing the entire wedding looked. You absolutely captured my every wish.”

I’ve actually had daydreams about partnering with Save-on-Crafts to do some inspiration shoots for a few years now. Their inventory in amazing and I use their stuff for almost every wedding. So when the opportunity arose to do a little inspiration shoot for Christmas, you can only imagine how excited I was. It also gave me a great excuse to clean up my mantel and living room and get my house in the Christmas spirit.
Got to do a few DIY projects here—and added those to the finished products they sell online (like these WAY TOO CUTE bottle brush ornaments–who needs to hang them on a tree when they are cute all by themselves??).
When I asked if there was something in particular they wanted me to craft, she asked for a advent calendar and a topiary. I looked through some inspiration for advent calendars and realized that I wanted something that adults would enjoy as decor–also something that could be repurposed. Everyone loves a terrarium with little gifts inside! Pull off the number covering the hole for each day and open a little treat! After Christmas, these glass orbs can be candleholders or house airplants and succulents.
Also dip glittered some clear glass ornaments for a little sparkle. These cedar roses can be used for everything. This topiary took me about 30 minutes. No glue necessary (the roses are already pre-stemmed and can be shoved right into the foam).
Happy Woodland Christmas to you all! We hope the advent season is filled with hope and expectation for Christmas. Get crafty and creative and drink some wine by the fire!

Well, the time has come….we had to get professional photos taken. Who better to take photos of me and my NEW assistant Monica**, than my PAST assistant REBECCA! You might remember Rebecca from being a killer assistant—or maybe from her stunning wedding we got to do a few months ago. She’s headed off to the big leagues to work with our dear friends, Aim and Arrow. That’s right, folks, Aim and Arrow is back in the Bay Area!
So without further ado, I give you beautiful pics from the most uncomfortable hour of my life:
**Meet Monica!!! She’s the best. Her wedding was one of our first weddings we got to coordinate! You’ll see her at weddings with me, driving the shortbus, carrying bouquets to brides and being on her toes. When she’s not working, she’s either in school, surfing with her hubby or taking selfies.
Obviously, you can tell we can’t take a photoshoot of ourselves too seriously. Especially when we tried to recreate the epic, “Reb and Alison pic” that has swept the nation with feel-good vibes of friendship. Pretty sure we NAILED IT!
Thanks Aim and Arrow! We love you and you were so fun to take pictures with!
Friends. Married. Beautiful. Here are the pictures. They couldn’t stop smiling and now I can’t stop smiling looking at them smiling. I’m going to start a petition for brides and grooms to smile more in pictures.
They stood like that THE WHOLE WEDDING. I loved it. I also loved getting to be a guest!
Homemade cakes, chocolate dipped strawberries and Mary’s Cookies! A skate ramp for the bros the play on, the world’s BEST flower girl and the world’s best PARENTS! It seems like I use the term “world’s best” a lot, but I assure you, I don’t.
